Nokia Announced Asha 210 with Dedicated WhatsApp Button and QWERTY Keypad

Nokia-Asha-210Today Finnish company Nokia launched a brand new phone in Asha Series, Nokia Asha 210. Nokia says the new Asha 210 offers a smarter way to social with its QWERTY keyboard, WiFi and dedicated WhatsApp button. Asha 210 is first device which comes with dedicated WhatsApp button.

“We are very excited about our partnership with Nokia Asha complementing our strategy of giving people around the world an easy experience when keeping in touch with their friends,” WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton said in a statement.

Like other Asha phone Nokia Asha 210 runs on series 40 operating system. The Asha 210 comes with two variant Single-Sim and Dual-Sim with Nokia’s Easy-Swap technology. The device equipped with 2-Megapixel camera, Full size QWERTY key-Pad, a 2.4-inch QVGA display with resolution of 320 X 240 pixels. 169 ppi, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1, 32MB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, supports up to 1000 contact info, FM Radio, MP3 and video player present, weighs 99.5g and standard stereo headset present inside the box. The device supports Wi-Fi but does not support 3G or 4G network.

The handset comes with preloaded social features like YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. The Nokia Asha 210 will be available in yellow, cyan, black, magenta and white.

It is expected to be priced at around USD 72 and will go on sale in the second quarter of 2013.
