Viber launches Video Calling app for Windows PC and Mac.
Along with claiming more than 200 million users worldwide, Viber’s also taking this day to announce what it is referring to as the biggest update to the service yet.
The new desktop version will enable users on Windows and Mac to access the application on their desktops, and use the app to make free calls to other Viber users. An interesting part is that the app syncs contacts, messages and call-history with mobile device and integrates it with the desktop version, which makes accessing information easily.
In fact, it also support transferring of ongoing calls between devices. One can access the desktop version by using existing phone number as an ID to initiate the process. Apart from this, one can use all the other functions like free texts, photo messages, group conversations with the desktop client.

The Viber 3.0 update for its Android and iOS apps now feature VoIP over 3G and Wi-Fi networks, video message service, new stickers, improved photo experience as well as other performances. The company has also released some security fixes for the Android app. This apart, the service has added support for eight new languages, including Dutch, Korean, Swedish, and Turkish. The company has also released a new BlackBerry version of app.
